We’re excited to announce that Monday, Jun 28, 2021, is officially “moving day” for Honey’s Place! For the last year, Honey’s Place has been operating out of the Street Mission Outreach Ministries building directly across from Clean Start. Pastor Scott Hanvey graciously allowed us to use their facilities for an entire year. Scott gave us access to all of the space, provided copies of keys, allowed us to rearrange the building to meet our needs, and consistently prayed for HOPE Missions of the Upstate since we began. We are forever grateful for the support of Street Mission Outreach and pray for whatever God has in mind for their next step.
Our new location is just around the corner, 213 S Towers St, Anderson SC 29624. We will begin moving after we finish up serving on Monday morning and hope to be done shortly after lunchtime. There are lots of details to attend to, but we will continue to support our ministry partners at Clean Start throughout the transition. We won’t miss a beat!
Items Needed
Our new location will provide some great space for us to operate, but we need a few things to help make it work even better. Here’s the shortlist of current needs (also posted on Facebook):
- 2-3 solid color sofas
- 3-4 solid color love seats
- 5-6 end tables
- 3 Coffee Airpot Carafes
- 2-3 eight-foot foldable tables
- Filtered water
- Water filtration system (long-term solution)
We’re happy to pick things up if needed!!
Thanks to Anderson County
We are ever thankful to the leadership at Anderson County for their trust and confidence in our efforts to serve those in need in our community. When we contacted them for use of their facility, the response began with “let’s make this easy…” Wow! Fantastic support from a County that truly cares about those in need. Thank you, Anderson! Thank you for helping us make our friends comfortable and feel welcome.
