Our Team
Don Peppers
Board Member
I am excited to join the HOPE Missions Board of Directors because I believe this opportunity is truly a gift from God. Serving the people of Anderson County alongside and learning from Dave Phillips and Zoe Hale is an honor. I look forward to helping advance the full vision of HOPE Missions and supporting the transformative work it brings to our community.

Helping HOPE Missions take their ministry to the next level is exciting and needed for the betterment for all of Anderson. I’ve been serving our homeless neighbors in the Upstate since 1999, including Place of Hope, SHARE, and our Upstate CoC. I’m blessed to be a part of this team!

“Working alongside the team at HOPE Missions is an incredible blessing. By sharing the love of Christ—through both actions and words, proclaiming the good news of who Jesus is, what He has done, and the promises He offers to all who call on and follow Him—I am being shaped in profound ways. As I serve and love others with Christ’s love, I am coming to know Him more deeply and seeing the beauty of who He is more clearly, especially in the work we do together at HOPE Missions.”

I am reminded daily that God has called us to Love. This word love is a spiritual love that can only come from Christ, who first loved us. We of this world do not know how to love. But God, put His love into action by sending Jesus to a lost and dying world. We can look around and see those in need of this spiritual love. Love that has no strings attached and is unconditional. Whether we have a roof over our head or not, we are all the same. We all need Jesus to fill the hole in our hearts and heal our pain.

HOPE missions is all about spreading Christ’s love and HOPE to our community! Everyday we have the opportunity to make a positive impact helping others who are going through adversity. I have the pleasure of sharing my love of Christ with others and seeing lives transformed. It truly is a testament to God’s amazing, merciful, and enduring love!

I love serving at HOPE Missions because I get to be part of a team that is dedicated to showing the hope and love of Jesus to everyone we meet. Everyone is special and loved by God, and through intentional serving, we are able to remind our folks of that truth.
