We are thrilled to share that the backpack giveaway at First Presbyterian Church was a huge success! Thanks to the incredible efforts of 25 amazing volunteers, we distributed 165 backpacks during the Backpack Giveaway event on Monday December 23, 2024!
In addition to backpacks, families had the opportunity to shop from across 12 tables that were stocked with essential items like blankets, batteries, soap, flashlights, first aid kits, toilet paper, and more!
Since the event, we’ve distributed a total of 200 backpacks across our community through our amazing resource partners, The LOT Project and South Main Chapel and Mercy Center.
